One of the significant sources which help the researcher become familiar with the published works with regard to his/her field of research is bibliography. In the present study, the writer, first of all, comes up with a definition of bibliography. Following this, he is going to explore the significance of bibliographies, their development through history, their different types, and the way of providing the sources. .

یکی از مهم ترین منابعی که به محقق کمک می کند تا آثار تدوین شده در زمینه موضوعی تحقیق خود و گستره آن را بشناسد، کتابشناسی ها هستند. نویسنده در مقاله حاضر پس از ارائه تعریف کتابشناسی ، اهمیت وجودی کتابشناسی ها، سیر تحول آن ها در گذر تاریخ و انواع و روش تهیه این منابع را وا کاوی می کند.
