نگاهی به تصحیح جدید سفرنامۀ ناصرِ خسرو

In 2020, a new critical edition of Nasir Khusraw's Travelogue was published by Mohammadreza Tavakoli Saberi. The primary manuscripts used for this edition include a copy from the Library of the Nadwatul Ulama in Lucknow (1006 AH) and another from the British Museum (1102 AH). The Lucknow manuscript has been used, directly or indirectly, in all previous editions of the Travelogue. However, it seems that the British Museum manuscript has not been utilized in any prior critical editions of the text. The editor has addressed the issues in these two manuscripts by consulting various editions of the book. In other words, the text is a synthesis of these two manuscripts combined with several printed editions. However, since this critical edition lacks variant readings, the contribution of each manuscript and edition to the final text remains unclear. Other issues have also been noted in this edition, most of which can be attributed to the editor's insufficient familiarity with the methods of editing ancient texts and with literary and linguistic research. These include errors in reading the manuscript recordings, incorrect or unnecessary diacritical markings, and inaccurate explanations and annotations. Nevertheless, some readings in this edition appear more accurate than those in the previous edition.

در سال 1399 تصحیح جدیدی از سفرنامۀ ناصرِ خسرو توسط محمدرضا توکلی صابری منتشر شد. نسخه‌های اصلی مورد استفاده در این تصحیح یکی نسخۀ کتابخانۀ مدرسۀ ندوة‌العلماء در شهر لکهنو (1006ق) بوده است و دیگری نسخۀ موزۀ بریتانیا (1102ق). از نسخۀ لکهنو پیش‌تر، مستقیم یا غیرمستقیم، در تمام چاپ‌های سفرنامه استفاده شده است، اما ظاهراً تا کنون نسخۀ بریتانیا در تصحیح متن سفرنامه مورد استفاده نبوده است. مصحح برای رفع اشکالات این دو نسخه از چاپ‌های مختلف این کتاب استفاده کرده است؛ به بیانی دیگر متن کتاب از التقاط این دو نسخه با چندین چاپ فراهم آمده است، اما از آن‌جا که این تصحیح فاقد نسخه‌بدل است، سهم هر کدام از این نسخه‌ها و چاپ‌ها در متن کتاب نامشخص است. اشکالات دیگری نیز در این کتاب راه یافته است که تقریباً می‌توان تمامی آن‌ها را ناشی از عدم آشنایی کافی مصحح با شیوۀ تصحیح متون کهن و تحقیقات ادبی و لغوی دانست؛ از جمله اشکال در قرائت ضبط‌های نسخ، حرکت‌گذاری‌های نادرست یا نالازم، و توضیحات و تعلیقات ناصحیح. با این حال برخی از ضبط‌هایی که در این چاپ آمده صحیح‌تر از ضبط‌های چاپ دبیرسیاقی به نظر می‌رسد.  .
