The first section of the twelfth issue of “Neveštegān” investigates the rare word “šʾwšʾ” as it appears in an early Arabic–Persian lexicon, offering both an explanation and a philological justification. The discussion then proceeds with several supplementary notes, extending a previous analysis of the remnants of the pronoun/adjective im in New Iranian. In addition, the meaning of a particular Fahlavī word and a related verse is clarified. The final section explores possible attestations of the verb pāxtan in early texts.

در بخش نخست شمارۀ 12 «نوشتگان»، لغت نادر «شاوشا» در یکی از فرهنگ‌های کهن عربی ـ فارسی توضیح داده و توجیه شده است. سپس به نکته‌هایی در تکمیل بازمانده‌های ضمیر/ صفت اشارۀ im در ایرانی نو اشاره شده و نیز معنای لغت و بیتی فهلوی روشن شده است. بخش پایانی کوششی است برای یافتن شواهدی از فعل «پاختن» در متون قدیم.
