«دیباچۀ» از‌یاد‌رفتۀ سیر حکمت در اروپا بازچاپ نوشته‌ای از محمدعلی فروغی

This article offers a critically edited presentation of the long-forgotten preface to Seyr-e Ḥekmat dar Urūpā (The Course of Wisdom in Europe), with a central claim developed through textual analysis and historical contextualization. The argument is that this work is not merely a historical account of Western philosophy, but also proposes a new linguistic model for articulating philosophical discourse in modern Persian. Furūghī’s Seyr-e Ḥekmat advances a mode of expression that allows for the articulation of philosophical novelty and discontinuity while maintaining continuity with classical Persian philosophical language. Furthermore, the marginalization of the preface is shown to be partly a consequence of the complex and evolving editorial history of Seyr-e Ḥekmat, a trajectory that is traced here using relevant historical documentation.

در این نوشته کوشش شده است تا از رهگذر عرضۀ نسخه‌ای «آراسته» از دیباچۀ از‌یاد‌رفتۀ سیر حکمت در اروپا مدعایی با گمانه‌زنی در میان نهاد شود. مدعا این است که سیر حکمت در اروپا تنها گزارشِ تاریخ فلسفۀ باخترزمین نیست، بلکه افزون بر آن، دربردارندۀ پیشنهادی نیز برای بیان فلسفه در فارسی نوین است و آن اینکه فروغی با این اثر زبانی را برای نگارش فلسفی در فارسی نوین پیش می‌نهد که با آن بیانِ گسستگی و تازگی مطلب در عین نگاهداشت پیوستگیِ زبانِ فلسفی فارسی محقق گردد. از این گذشته، چون از‌یاد‌رفتن دیباچه تا اندازه‌ای برخاسته از روند تکوینیِ کمابیش پیچیدۀ سیر حکمت در اروپا است، کوشش شده است تا این روند بر پایۀ اسناد پیگیری و بازنمایی شود.
