History of religion in Europe in Modern times, and the interaction as well as the conflict between mathematicians together with physicists and the church leaders attract all the attention to the 17th century. However, since the previous years the foundation of the traditional Catholic Church has been shaken by the ideas of reform. In this paper, the author tries to provide a biography of Michael Servetus, the Spanish physician, who has been disapproved of by religious authorities for the crime of apostasy.

تاریخ دین در اروپا در دوران مدرن و تعامل و تقابل ریاضی دانان و فیزیک دانان با علمای کلیسا، توجه همگان را به قرن هفدهم جلب می کند. اما از سال ها قبل و در قرن شانزدهم، بنیان کلیسای سنتی کاتولیک توسط اندیشه های اصلاح طلبانه به لرزه افتاده بود. نویسنده در نوشتار حاضر می کوشد شرح حال مختصری از مایکل سروتوس طبیب اسپانیایی که توسط مقامات دینی و به جرم الحاد مورد غضب کلیسا قرار گرفت را ارائه دهد.
