سند، منبعی دست اول در تحقیقات و پژوهش ها

Archival documents and records are considered as an authentic and primary source for scientific researches. However, in research methodology books they are either not mentioned as a source of information or studied very briefly. Authors of this paper intend to scrutinize the document issue from different perspectives in a series of articles. The following paper, as the first work of the series of articles, is going to provide some information about document as an authentic and primary source of scientific researches and its importance. Regarding this, they are first of all going to introduce archive, the place where documents are kept. Following this, they outline an overview of the document, its importance, and its usage in research.  .

اسناد و مدارک آرشیوی به عنوان منبعی معتبر و دست اول برای انجام تحقیقات علمی مطرح هستند. با این حال، در کتاب های روش تحقیق، به اسناد و مدارک به مثابه یکی از منابع اطلاعاتی یا اصلا اشاره ای نشده یا به صورت بسیار گذرا مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. هدف نویسندگان در نوشتار حاضر این است تا در سلسله مقالاتی، مقوله سند را از منظرهای گوناگون مورد مداقه قرار دهند. در این نوشتار به عنوان اولین اثر از سلسله مقالات مذکور، به ارائه اطلاعاتی درخصوص سند به عنوان منبعی معتبر و دست اول در انجام تحقیقات علمی و اهمیت آن، می پردازند. آنان در راستای هدف مذکور، نخست، خوانندگان را با محل نگهداری اسناد و مدارک یعنی آرشیو آشنا می سازند. سپس در ادامه، پیرامون سند، و اهمیت و کاربرد اسناد در تحقیقات، به ترسیم نمایی کلی در این زمینه می پردازند.
